Sarum Academy will be hosting a one-day pupil conference entitled ‘Genocide and Me’. The conference aims to explore some of the religious, political, cultural and personal issues surrounding genocide using two modern case studies; Nazi Germany and Rwanda in the 1990’s.
The conference will be held in Salisbury on Thursday 7th March 2013. The event is free and includes a buffet lunch and all conference materials.
The programme is based on materials and training supplied by the internationally respected organisation,’ Facing History and Ourselves’.
The conference would be especially beneficial for pupils studying RE, Philosophy & Ethics, History, Politics, Sociology and Phycology but is offered to all pupils with an interest in world affairs.
Bishop Wordsworth’s School and The Kings School in Hampshire will be attending the conference in addition to Sarum Academy. I do hope you will be able to join us.
